“This camera blows my mind. I love being able to shoot frames like a high powered machine gun, ensuring that I get those perfect moments – never missing a kiss, those moments ion between blinking, any sort of action etc.. and Ive never had my camera blackout or buffer.

The video from this thing is seldom talked about. Being able to do 120 frames in 1080p while flying this on a gimbal is just a treat. Stacked against my Sony fs5, the image quality from the a9 is better in my opinion. Sure you cant shoot in sLog, but I just dont care. Its phenomenal.”

Reviews Sony A9

Great addition to my A7rIII

I am a wildlife and landscape photographer and needed a camera that had a bit faster AF for shooting birds in flight and the A9 meets or exceeded my expectations. There are few Youtube posts about using the A9 for wildlife so was taking a chance by purchasing this camera. The only other addition I need for my type of shooting is for Sony or a third party to release a lens in the 150-600, 200-600 or 60-600 in E-mount.

Not too shabby

This camera is very much like any other Sony third generation body with the exception of the technology centered around the sensor. This is a great camera for sports. It’s Amazing. That said, if you do not shoot fast athletes or animals, there’s is absolutely no reason to get this camera over The A7III or A7RIII. None. The speed of this camera is overkill for anything else. If you are a sports shooter like I am, the extra money is worth it and you won’t have any buyer’s remorse.

Amazing camera

I shoot a little bit of everything but mainly events. autofocus is really fast, quality is great, good high iso performance. i love the electronic shutter and the no blackout. highly recommend this for event photographers.

This is the best camera, wow

I’ve had this camera for about four months now and to keep it simple and sweet. I’m 100% happy with this camera and i’m thinking about getting one more. Yes it’s that good.

Absolutely amazing

Greatest camera i’ve ever used. sharp, great high iso performance, fast, great af. I can’t even imagine what Sony will do when they upgrade this camera.

Best Camera I have ever owned

I bought an a9 primarily for sports and motorsports, and find myself using it for more than that. It is such an amazingly powerful camera, AF is incredibly fast even with adapted lenses, IQ is incredible and the Silent Mode is great for working in environments that you want silence. It truly is silent. Best camera I have ever owned, and I have had a few.
